You may need acid in a small number of pools with new, chemically active surfaces. This is used to control the pH in most conventional pools but pools using Pooled Energy’s Advanced Water Chemistry do not need acid in most cases

Pool acid is hazardous and corrosive, and appropriate safety measures must be observed.  The acid container or tank must be kept out of direct sunlight, hot areas, heater exhausts and must not be accessible by children or pets.  Automatic acid dispenser tanks be vented, and located in a vented area.

Observe label directions for safety.  In the event of any contact, flush immediately with large quantities of water and seek medical assistance.  Diving into the pool immediately if you have had contact, is highly dilutive.
